Want to improve your danish skills?
Language training
Want to improve your danish language skills? We offer individual language training at both the Main library and Vollsmose library. At the main libray library you can also participate in our language cafe. All our language training services are free of charge. Read more about them below.
Languagecafe
In the languagecafe you will meet languagetrainers and librarians who are ready to help you improve your danish conversation skills. The language café is for you who are well on your way to speaking Danish, but want to get even better.
If you would like to participate, just show up at the Main Library on Tuesdays between 2 PM and 4 PM on the second floor. It's free and does not require registration.
Feel free to join our facebookgroup. You will find it her.
Individual languagetraining
At the Main Library and Vollsmose Library, you can start a language training course with your own personal language trainer. For 12 weeks, you meet once a week at the Library for up to two hours at a time. The offer is flexible, and you choose for yourself:
- What you want help with. You can e.g. get help with pronunciation, vocabulary or dialogue training.
- What day and time you want to meet with your language coach.
- Whether you want to meet at the Main Library or Vollsmose Library.
If you would like a language coach, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. You will then be invited to a short meeting in the library to assess your Danish language skills. This is to ensure that you can carry on an easy conversation in Danish, as this is a prerequisite for getting an individual language coach. At the same time, we will tell you about the course of action at the meeting and what you can expect to get out of it.
The individual language training is aimed at citizens with Danish as a second language. The purpose is to support and motivate you linguistically, thereby making it easier for you to settle into Danish society. We primarily work with dialogue and conversation training in a 1-1 relationship with a focus on a greater understanding of Danish culture, the labor market and social conditions.
